Sonia King

• Artist Sonia King's first contact with mosaics was as a child when her mother worked in the medium. She has visited ancient mosaic sites and studied with modern mosaic artists around the world.
• Sonia received a BFA from California College of Arts & Crafts and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
• She is the President of the Society of American Mosaic Artists as well as the instructor in mosaics at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas.
• Additionally, Sonia has been granted membership in the Associazone Internazionale Mosacisti Contemporanei in Ravenna, Italy.
• Her work is exhibited both nationally and internationally and is represented in private, public and corporate collections.
• Sonia will be featured in HGTV's show, Modern Masters, in February 2003.
• She is currently creating four large mosaic walls for Children's Medical Center of Dallas.
• Sonia is the author of the upcoming book, Mosaic Technique and Traditions from Sterling Publishing and has spoken on current trends in American mosaic art in Brazil, England and France.
